Vandalism Consultation

What the consultation is about

The Regeneration, Community and Leisure Services Review Board is reviewing the issue of vandalism and would like your views on what vandalism is like in PrestonThe review will focus on the cost and impact of vandalism at the council's leisure facilities and in particular Preston's parks.

Why do we need this consultation?

The Quality of Life survey identified anti-social behaviour as a major concern and vandalism is one aspect of this.

Vandalism costs the council thousands of pounds every year (estimated annual cost for vandalism in parks alone is £140,000) and the review board wants to look at the causes of the problem and whether the council could take any further steps to tackle it.

What will happen with the results?

The results of this survey will assist councillors in their review and inform their recommendations to Cabinet  on what action to take to address the problem.
