The following reports are available:
The purpose of this questionnaire is to survey the perceptions and preferences of the different medical specialities held by Bristol Medical students. Personal questions about the student are asked in order to investigate the association between student demographics and their different perceptions and preferences.
Currently, medical students are unaware of the competition they will meet in different specialities and employers are unaware of the number of applicants they should expect to receive in future years. It is important that popular specialities remain to be popular and that less popular specialities can increase their popularity. This questionnaire is a step towards understanding and achieving this.
The results from this survey will be statistically analysed and published as a third year SSC. If any significant results are obtained, general publication will be sought.
Personal e-mail addresses WILL NOT be used to identify you, and they will be removed prior to analysis of the data. All responses will be kept in the strictest confidence and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Winners of the prize draw will be chosen at random, and will be notified by e-mail before the 31st of July.
