Headline Targets 1
What is a headline target?
Our headline targets highlight some key priorities for the Brigade; making it easier for people outside the organisation to look at our overall success by focusing on these. The Brigade continually works to a whole range of annual targets that monitor both front line and office based work.
What targets did you work towards previously?
Our headline targets for April 2005-2010 were to:
- reduce accidental fires in the home by 5%;
- reduce the number of deaths arising from accidental fires in the home by 20%;
- reduce deliberate fires by 10%; and
- reduce the number of hoax calls we respond to by 5%.
What are Local Area Agreements?
Local Area Agreements (LAAs) set out the priorities for a local area and are agreed between central government and the local authority and other key partners at the local level. The agreements run for three years, currently 2008-2011.
