School admission arrangements 2013/14

Overview

Bristol City Council is responsible for setting the admission arrangements for all Community and Voluntary Controlled schools in the city.  This consultation includes the proposed new intake oversubscription criteria and co-ordinated admission schemes for the 2013/14 school year. A number of issues including changes to Special Educational Needs funding and the development of split-site primary schools need to be reflected in the arrangements.

Please be aware that some changes may be required to comply with the new School Admissions Code currently before Parliament.

All admission authorities are required to consult on their proposed admission arrangements and we would like to know your views on of the changes being considered.

What happens next

All responses will be considered before the arrangements are agreed. This will be by 15 April 2012. The arrangements will be published, along with other information for parents and application forms in September 2012.
