Revision to Supplementary Planning Document 4 (Planning Obligations)

Overview

Planning obligations are measures needed to mitigate the impact of new development. These can include the provision of affordable housing and local highway and transport improvements. The Council is revising its planning obligations policies following the adoption of the Bristol Core Strategy and in association with the implementation of a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) for Bristol.

Why we are consulting

The Council is keen to ensure the widest possible range of local communities; landowners, developers and other stakeholders are able to comment on the revision to SPD4. We welcome views on the proposed SPD, as these will help to inform the final version of the document and will provide clear and transparent guidance for everyone involved in the planning process.
